ABOUT THE STUDIO

PZAEZ — pronounced peh-zazz — is derived from “pizzazz”, a word for presence, energy and character. Rewritten, it becomes a more coded, object-like name.

PZAEZ STUDIO is an independent fashion and object studio based in Oslo, founded by designer Elise Nyborg in 2026.

PZAEZ develops sculptural objects made to be carried and worn. Beginning with handbags, the studio is developing a sculptural language that can extend across headwear and garments.

Each object begins with a distinct construction logic, which determines how form, material and attachment work together.

OBJECTS OF PRESENCE

PZAEZ objects are designed to have a presence of their own.

Sculptural form, material and construction give each object its character — something that can be carried or worn, while still holding its own as an object.

MATERIAL BEHAVIOUR

Material is an active part of the design process. Surface, weight and structure can change how an object looks, feels and behaves.

PZAEZ works across digital construction, additive manufacturing, hand assembly, textile development and material experimentation.

3D printing is part of the studio’s current practice, but does not define its limits.

CHAPTERS, NOT SEASONS

PZAEZ develops through chapters rather than seasonal collections.

Each chapter introduces new forms, materials or directions while building on the existing PZAEZ language.

Objects and ideas may return, evolve and reappear over time, creating continuity rather than constant replacement.
