ABOUT THE STUDIO

PZAEZ — pronounced peh-zazz — is derived from “pizzazz”, a word for presence, energy and character. Rewritten, it becomes a more coded, object-like name for objects with presence.

PZAEZ STUDIO is an independent fashion and object studio based in Oslo, founded by designer Elise Nyborg.

The studio creates sculptural wearable objects positioned between fashion, art and collectible design — beginning with handbags. Each piece is developed through form, surface, tactility and construction, with the object treated as more than an accessory: something that can shift an outfit, a body, or an ordinary situation.

PZAEZ works between the commercial and the experimental, building a design world through limited releases, recurring forms and material-led object systems.

OBJECTS OF PRESENCE

PZAEZ objects are designed to be worn, but not to disappear.

A bag can be functional, sculptural, emotional and slightly strange at the same time. The studio is interested in the point where an accessory becomes a character — something with presence, tension and its own role within a look.

MATERIAL BEHAVIOUR

The work begins with material behaviour — how surface, weight and form can alter the feeling of an object.

PZAEZ works across digital construction, hand assembly, textile development and material experimentation. Additive production is one part of the studio’s current object language, not the limit of its practice.

CHAPTERS, NOT SEASONS

PZAEZ releases in chapters rather than seasons.

Each chapter introduces new structural investigations within the studio universe, allowing form, identity and material language to build over time.

Details may return, shift and reappear across releases, creating continuity rather than constant replacement.
